Newsletter May 2013

Dear Film Lovers

Welcome to our first newsletter.

Since the committee was formed in early April we have been busy putting together our plan to get the society up and running.

Community Interest Company

We have decided to apply to become a Community Interest Company to gain the advantages of limited company status as we develop the Society for the benefit of its members and the community in Wokingham. We want to make the Society the best it can be.

Films in consideration

We have a selection of 22 films that we have received from our potential members who attended The Artist screening. We have had some suggestions on our Facebook page. We welcome more within the next three months, so we can have a complete year’s worth of programming. These are attached to this email and can be seen on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/TheWokinghamFilmSociety/536400859734300

Venue

We are in the process of finalising our venue and will release more details as they become available. We want to ensure a comfortable venue, which has facilities for members and guests to socialise and discuss the film afterwards.

Call for Volunteer Webmaster

We are looking for a volunteer to join us. Local? Love Film? Web genius? or know someone that is? We are looking for a Webmaster, to create, build and maintain our website. If you would be interested in volunteering to do this then please email: wokinghamfilmsoc@gmail.com with the subject heading ‘Webmaster Volunteer’

Don’t forget to check out our Facebook for our current films in consideration https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Wokingham-Film-Society/536400859734300

And follow us on Twitter @WokinghamFilm

Until next Time!
